I think what you're doing is so cool and incredibly brave! It takes an adventurous soul to step away from the life you always knew to pursue something different, and I can't wait to see how it all shakes out! And anyone who takes any kind of science or math in my book is basically a genius since that's not exactly my skill set. :)

Jess, I think you will absolutely love it....we went through the CSI crime scene exhibit in Las Vegas in December....I could see myself in some part of that process....Never a dull moment and would be super rewarding when you "crack the case!" Best wishes from Lorrie and Kai

Jess, I cannot tell you how amazing and inspiring you are. I've been curious as to the backstory of your incredible new journey and I'm SO excited for you. Having gone back to school as a "mature student" myself, I can definitely relate to bits of what you must be going through--but I did my most recent degree in Film, definitely not something as challenging as math and science (neither of which I applied myself to in school because it seemed beyond me). Forensics have fascinated me since my first viewing of Silence of the Lambs, and I toyed with the idea briefly when I was in high school, but unfortunately, I didn't pursue it seriously. I'm so inspired by what you're doing and am behind you 100%!! It's making me think as well. I'm about to check your links about people in the arts being the most unemployed, but I'm sure that's true here as well. You may very well have inspired me to try something new when it's the right time, so thanks for sharing your story :) <3

I am a sucker for Martha Stewart Living and any other kind of home decorating or crafty magazine. I love to keep them around for inspiration.
